rain is falling and there are some farmers are smiling big! There is a lot
happening this summer at the farm. We’ve got mango dips, movie clips, and

Mango Dip: Ridge to Reef Creque Dam Hike
June 7
Today is National Trails Day (NTD), and we are celebrating holding the
most eastern NTD event in the US for three years running. We are also
celebrating Creque Dam Gut, and all the efforts in St. Croix to improve
access to beaches and forests. We are hiking from the Ridge above Creque Dam
Farm down Creque Dam Road to the beach. Nate will lead the hike and an open
discussion about agriculture, reefs, and watersheds. Bring your own water,
camera, and a mango if you have one. 10AM-3PM. 3 mostly downhill miles,
moderate to strenuous, some road walking, swimsuit suggested. FREE! Please

Yoga + Farm August 19-24
Immerse yourself in yoga and nature with Ananda Ventures in the rainforest
of a tropical, Caribbean island. Relax, explore, and have fun on beautiful
St. Croix through yoga, hiking, kayaking through the national park, cooking
workshops, and organic farming. Certified yoga instructor Gretchen Mills
(you might have met her on St. John’s VI Environmental Resource Station or
VIERS) leads inspiring yoga classes suitable for all levels. Her background
in Ashtanga and Anusara yoga will offer invigorating flow sequences with a
focus in alignment, while embracing the essence of the day with deep
breathing techniques, music, and a sequence of poses to enliven, energize,
and inspire. $1150 includes all food, lodging, instruction, and excursions.
